After an adventurous start to my scholarship year with Great White Sharks in South Australia followed by remote Raja Ampat in Indonesia, I’ve travelled West to The Maldives for a special chance to spend some time on the magnificent island of Kuredu with Prodivers. Their experienced underwater videography team have generously taken me in, on an intern style program focused on developing my underwater filming style, techniques and editing.

Each leg of this scholarship so far has been so unique and contrasting to the previous in almost every way imaginable from the food, atmosphere, the locals and of course especially the diving. After just a couple of dives here I was simply astonished by the sheer abundance of fish life. I’ve gone from diversity to abundance and with the clear blue waters and powerful sunlight, I’m giving my Sola video lights a break and focusing on using the natural sunlight and clear waters to bring out the vibrant colours of all these fish!
